Internal digital asset management

Outline of requirement A digital asset management system hosted in the cloud to hold many terabytes of image files and associated metadata.

Uploading The files are uploaded directly into the cloud environment and imported into the system from there. Whilst the uploaded files are mostly TIFFs and DNGs, the system also creates additional smaller resolution / different format files as required.

System use The system is used predominantly by internal staff and access is locked-down to a specific range of IP addresses. It is also integrated via ADFS into MPR’s Active Directory, allowing users to login with their existing credentials.

Some of the features included as standard are:

  • Download files by authorised users.
  • Digital file request feature.
  • Automatic search suggestions 'as you type'.

iBase also supports Active Directory authentication, which allows users to login using their existing credentials, and system administrators to control who has access to what using their standard network administration tools.

iBase has simplified our entire workflow, this is a huge win for our live production and archive teams.
