Requirements for view only users included:
- Accessible anywhere by native browser access (no VPN or Citrix).
- Ability to download common video, photo, graphic and document files in their native formats (All new video material acquired in 4K).
- Real-time previews of all video assets.
- Support for reading metadata from additional file formats, such as docx, csv or xml.
- High-performance system and bandwidth to ensure rapid response of user requests.
- Ability to search by asset type, keyword and metadata.
Requirements for admin users included:
- Ability to upload/download common video, photo, graphic and document files in their native formats (All new video material acquired in 4K).
- Real-time or batch upload/download options.
- Ability to add metadata (categories, keywords, ratings and descriptions) to multiple assets at one time.
- Rights-management to control usage by asset.
- Report on asset activity by user or group.
- Automatic search suggestions 'as you type'.
iBase also supports Active Directory authentication, which allows users to login using their existing credentials.
