Architectural Association

Using an iBase digital asset management system, the Architectural Association School of Architecture created a new image library for both internal and public access. Topics and subjects include Buildings and Places, Schoolwork, School Life with images from the 1920s until the present date.

AA School of Architecture - Online Photo Library

Founded in the 1890s, the photo library holds 500,000 images including lantern slides, transparencies, negatives and prints. It is home to important collections of photographs by FR Yerbury, Reyner Banham, Eric de Maré and Robin Evans. In addition to 45,000 digital images of recent student life, the library holds photographs of AA student work in the form of 100,000 negatives, slides and digital files dating from the 1880s; and a collection of 20,000 negatives, prints and slides of AA life, dating from the 1920s.
