Drag and Drop Upload
Upload your files into iBase by dragging them from your desktop or file manager straight onto the browser. iBase automatically creates multiple versions of your file and imports any technical or descriptive metadata directly into the system. You can drag single or multiple files, or even entire folder hierarchies.
Supports Any File Type
Any type of file can be imported into iBase and automatic previews are generated for all common image, video and document types. File types can be blacklisted to prevent dangerous uploads, and limits on both file size and upload volume can be applied to prevent abuse.
Detect Duplicate Files
iBase uses sophisticated hashing techniques to detect whether the file you are uploading is already in the system, even if it has a different name. Duplicates can be allowed or rejected, and the same approach is used to determine whether files have changed after upload.
Image and Video Watermarking
When iBase creates additional versions of your image and video files, it can apply a watermark in the form of text, an image or a logo. Watermarks can be configured to be as large, small, transparent or opaque as required and positioned anywhere within the frame.
Watch Folders
Watch folders are folders anywhere on your network that iBase can monitor and import whenever files or sub-folders are added or changed. They can be polled every minute, hour or day, and they can also be used for bulk-importing metadata from Excel files.
Embedded Metadata
Most images include technical or descriptive embedded metadata. iBase can import that metadata and map it to the corresponding fields in the system. If you have multiple fields with similar data, import priorities can be set so the right values are retained.
Automatic Keyword Tagging
When importing image files, iBase can scan them and automatically tag them with appropriate keywords. Each keyword is assigned a confidence level, and you can set a threshold below which keywords will be rejected.
Multiple Versions
iBase automatically creates multiple versions of your image, video or sound files when they are uploaded. These can be configured for different formats, sizes, compression levels and aspect ratios so that one upload can support a range of downstream uses.
