Flexible Metadata Schema

iBase comes pre-configured with a Dublin Core metadata schema and can be configured to support as many simultaneous schemas as you need, each with as few or as many fields as required. Supported field types include text, number, multi-value picklists, datetime, currency and more.

Image Editing

The single-item edit page presents a preview of the file, with zoom support, alongside its associated fields in whatever order you prefer. Users can edit metadata, make image adjustments, update geolocation data and keywords, and add the file to one or more collections from the same page.

Batch Edit

The batch edit page allows one or more field values to be edited across multiple files simultaneously. Each field supports options such as overwrite, append and search-and-replace, and the same page can be used to update geolocation data and hierarchical keywords.

Hierarchical Keywords

Hierarchical keywords help you maintain a controlled vocabulary of structured terms or import data from an existing thesaurus. Users can be given the ability to modify the hierarchy or simply assign terms to files, depending on their level of access.

Automatic Image Tagging

iBase can assist metadata teams by automatically tagging image content during ingest and edit workflows. Suggested terms can then be reviewed, refined and approved as part of the wider editing process.

Geolocation Data

Most modern digital cameras capture geolocation data when a picture is taken. iBase can import this data and display it in the form of a mini map on the item page. If a file has no geolocation data, users can search for locations and assign them manually.

Workflow States

Metadata and asset records can be aligned to review, approval and publishing stages so teams can track progress through defined workflow states. Combined with permissions and batch tools, this makes it easier to manage content consistently at scale.
