iBase image library software is used internally by the Brecon Beacons National Park authority, and they host it on their own I.T. infrastructure.
The requirements included -
- Import of GPS data.
- Import of other EXIF metadata, including the file name.
- Protection of images with a associated copyright restrictions, by using a copyright expiry date metadata field.
- Download available to system managers regardless of whether or not a copyright expiry date exists.
- Download is disabled for standard users if any copyright expiry date is present, regardless of what the date is.
- Download is available for standard users if there is no copyright expiry date present.
- Standard users are not able to upload replacement images over copyrighted images.
- Data extraction for other systems using the standard iBase API.
Other features included as standard are:
- Quick search.
- Advanced field search and search history.
- Bulk upload and batch edit.
- Flexible security and permissions.
- Automatic search suggestions 'as you type'.
- Active Directory authentication, which allows users to login using their existing credentials.
